The trophy will be awarded on Sunday October 7, 2018 during the regatta closing ceremony followed by a farewell meal.
The trophy has been designed and made by Vitoria sculptor Koko Rico, who has been creating sculptures for 20 years as well as working on different disciplines such as drawing, engraving, murals, illustration, furniture design, set design, etc. Rico has exhibited in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao or Santiago and his work has been on show in Mexico, England, France, Portugal and Cuba. He has received scholarships and prizes, winning competitions and his work can be found in collections and museums.
